Table Tennis

Everyone is welcome – members and non-members alike! 

 

Club evenings are usually Mondays and Thursdays between 6pm to 8pm. It’s a drop in session and not everyone stays for the full 2 hours, although some do. We have two indoor tables and play in the club house of St Agnes Tennis Club in Goonown Lane, St Agnes TR5 0UX.  For the summer evenings we also have an outdoor table.

 

We are a friendly bunch with mixed table tennis experience united by the fact that we enjoy playing social table tennis for exercise and good fun.  Ages of our members range from 18 up to 80, so everyone really is welcome.  Most of the time we play doubles due to only have two tables but we also play singles when we have fewer numbers.

 

Members & Non-members

 

The membership year runs from 1st April and in 2023/24 is £47 for table tennis only, however, if already a member of St Agnes Tennis Club the membership is reduced to £24.   Members are welcome to bring along guests at the non-members price of £3 per session.   For prospective members who may wish to trial out table tennis, the first session is complimentary.

 

Non-members who may only wish to play ad-hoc can pay £3 per session on the Monday and Thursday evenings.  Ideally advance notice is preferred, just to check there is sufficient space.  Please call Tracy or Becky on the telephone numbers below.

 

The John Cock Memorial Trophy

 

We have an annual doubles tournament where we compete for the coveted John Cock Memorial Trophy.  John was a dear table tennis player who sadly lost his life too early and we like to keep his name alive through this tournament.
